There is no single warranty period covering everything. Fabrication and installation by BS METAL, the systems, the coating and anodising, the glazing, the hardware and the automation are separate subsystems, each with its own terms: factory cover depends on the manufacturer, the surface treatment and the environment the construction stands in. The exact terms and durations follow from the quotation and the type of construction. Proper use, cleaning and periodic maintenance are a precondition for them remaining in force.
1. BS METAL fabrication and installation
Responsibility for fabrication and installation covers the proper execution of the works included in the agreed scope of each project. As a rule BS METAL gives a five-year warranty on fabrication and installation.
2. Systems, coating and anodising
The corresponding warranties and their conditions depend on the system, on the surface treatment, on the manufacturer and on the environment in which the construction stands.
3. Glazing
Glazing units are a separate sub-system. Any factory cover and its technical conditions are considered according to the build-up and the supplier for the particular project.
4. Hardware, motors and automation
Components from other manufacturers come, where provided for, with their own factory warranties and their own terms of proper use.
5. Maintenance
Correct use, cleaning and the required periodic maintenance are a basic condition for keeping the construction working well and, where provided for, for keeping the corresponding warranties in force.
6. Technical support after handover
If something malfunctions or needs checking, the problem is assessed first, and it is then established whether it is a matter of adjustment, of maintenance, of fabrication, of a component or of factory cover.
