Why an island is a different category

Salt, constant wind and strong sunlight act at the same time. The surface treatment is chosen before fabrication: on Paros the pergola was made with pre-anodising and a Structura finish.

Wind also changes the shading design. The fixed inclined louvres of the Creta series provide shade without moving parts that would need maintenance in a hard-to-reach position.

Transport, installation, support

On an island project the design has to be settled before the material leaves: a dimensional error cannot be corrected the next day. Measurement, typology and fittings are therefore locked before production.

For the islands we speak of selected projects by arrangement, not everyday local service.
