Rollers • Shutters • Screens

Insect screens for windows and doors.

Insect protection, chosen to suit the opening, the use and the dimensions.

Types of screen

The difference is not only in how they look: the way a screen moves decides how convenient it is day to day and how much room it takes.

  1. Plissé

A pleated solution: little bulk, easy to use.

  2. Sliding

Mainly for sliding frames and large openings.

  3. Hinged

A solid, stable solution for doors and frequent use.

  4. Vertical

Vertical travel, usually for windows and smaller openings.

  5. Electric

Motorised solutions, for comfort, large openings or combination with automation.

What decides the choice

The type of opening and how it is used: a balcony door opened dozens of times a day calls for something other than a bedroom window. Dimensions matter too, whether the screen goes in with a new frame or into an existing one, and whether it has to work together with a roller shutter or a shutter. On existing frames, the fit is assessed on site.

Care

Tracks stay clean and unobstructed; stiff movement is a reason to have it checked, not to apply more force. In detail in the cleaning and maintenance guide and the care guide.
